Rapids and huge rocks make up the landscape in La Pedrera, a township located on the bank of the river Caquetá. This area is populated mostly by the Yucuna, Macuna, Matapi, Tanimuca, Miraña, Letuamo, Kubeo, and Carihona ethnic groups, whose members make their living growing cassava, plantain, maize and fruit, along with raising cows and pigs.
