In San Andrés, beach cars, Kawasaki mulitas, motorcycles, and automatic scooters are popular for getting around the island. Among the requirements* are that the minimum age is 21 years, a valid driver's license, photo ID, and a passport. It is necessary to have a valid international credit card, and it is recommended to have a paid reservation in advance.
*These may vary depending on the agency. Sometimes, for countries with non-Roman alphabets, an international driving license is required.
At the airport exit, there are taxis that travel all over the island and have predetermined official rates to various destinations.
