Coffee Route

Our experience of the Coffee Route is part of a project to highlight what Colombia is and the hidden pleasures found in its territory. A day in which we start by picking up the participants in a private, comfortable and spacious transport. You will be able to enjoy a day of rest in a coffee farm and learn about the production process of high quality coffee beans as well as taste the coffee produced on the farm.

A family farm that turned to the production of high quality coffee opens the doors for you to find a respite away from the city and be pampered while tasting coffee produced on the farm. Coffee that is produced organically, with compost made on the same farm where it is produced. No pesticides or environmentally harmful chemicals are used here. The family cares about establishing sustainable practices that generate a positive impact not only for its product, but also for the way in which the earth and the environment are cared for.

The crop tour begins our learning journey. The different batches of land are visited and the reason for the different techniques used is explained, as well as the use of different plants to create exquisite tones in the coffee. The citrus notes of some crops are noticeable compared to the batches that accompany the cultivation of coffee with banana or other plants. You can be a part of the harvest, if we are in season, but it will be explained when the coffee tree is ready to be harvested, and when the seed produces the best flavor. We will make a stop to learn about the process of pulping the coffee bean and the extraction of the seed that is used in the final product. In addition, they can participate in the drying of the coffee beans and see first-hand the stages in which the seeds find themselves.

We will finish with a tasting of the farm's coffee, accompanied by a talk in which our Authors tell you the story of the family and their farm, and the reasons why coffee became the vehicle to be part of the new roots to face the new millennium.

When finished, you will have the farm at your complete disposal. An afternoon in the pool, archery and arrow target practice, various sports, ecological walks, or a cocktail to accompany the sunset. It is up to you how to enjoy your afternoon before being taken home on the awaiting transportation.
