I am from the Country of Beauty, and I want to invite you to experience it

I am from the country of fruit and bambuco, where the land is fertile and offers us fruits of a thousand flavors and landscapes in every color. I know that deep beauty that captivates in every corner, with the dance of whales on the Colombian Pacific coast or with the flight of the condor in places as fascinating as the mountain forests of the Andes.

This is why I want to invite you to visit us, to travel through the six regions of Colombia, and to discover together what it means to be from the Country of Beauty.

Greater Colombian Caribbean: Much more than the Caribbean

Did you know that in Colombia there is a region where snow lives alongside sand? In the Greater Colombian Caribbean, you can go from exploring the walled city of Cartagena, facing those sun-drenched beaches, to hiking the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta in the company of ancestral cultures.

This region has become famous for both its natural wealth and its cultural diversity. Here, being from the country of beauty means exploring the flavors of the sea to create a unique and internationally recognized gastronomy, but it also means discovering the rhythms of the accordion and the drum in cumbia and vallenato songs.

Therefore, we recommend traveling to Colombia with an open mind and letting yourself be surprised by places like the islands of San Andrés and Providencia or the beaches of La Guajira, which have so much to offer.

Western Colombian Andes: Mountains of Coffee and Flowers

Being from the country of beauty also means loving the color of Colombian flowers and knowing what it is like to taste a good coffee. If you want to discover it, visit the Western Colombian Andes.

This region, filled with colorful towns like Salento or Filandia, is home to one of the most exquisite coffees in the world, as both the talent of its people and its unique geographical features have allowed the production of an unparalleled variety of aromas and flavors.

Additionally, it is home to the Andean condor and the towering wax palms, a plant so impressive that it displays a beauty you will only see in the most beautiful places in Colombia.

However, if you prefer a more urban trip, you can visit Manizales or Medellín, cities that have reinvented themselves and dance to the rhythm of Karol G, Maluma, and J Balvin.

Colombian Pacific: Flavors of Forest and Sea

The Colombian Pacific is one of the best-kept secrets of the Country of Beauty. Thanks to its natural wealth, it has become the meeting point for fascinating species such as humpback whales and sea turtles.

If you decide to visit this region, you will be able to see these species, but also discover the cultural wealth of the country alongside the ancestral communities that inhabit the area. There, drums and salsa rhythms permeate the atmosphere in cities like Cali and towns like Nuquí and Bahía Solano.

Eastern Colombian Andes: Legendary páramos and valleys

In the Eastern Colombian Andes, páramos await you—ecosystems so unique they have no direct English translation, and which are home to plants as particular as the frailejones.

Furthermore, a large part of the Colombian population is located in this region, making it a cultural explosion. Because of this, cities like Bogotá, the Colombian capital, have become one of the most fascinating cultural hubs in the country, with more than eight million inhabitants coming from all over the national territory.

You can also visit towns that surprise with their beauty, such as Barichara and Villa de Leyva, which have stood out for the way they have captured the hearts of not only international tourists but also Colombians themselves.

Colombian Massif: Ancestral origins

Traveling to the Colombian Massif is not only a journey through one of the most fascinating regions of the Country of Beauty, but also a trip back in time through our ancestral cultures. Mysterious places steeped in history are located here, such as the San Agustín Archaeological Park.

If your travel style is more urban, religious, or even architectural exploration, here you can visit the Las Lajas Sanctuary or walk the streets of Pasto during the Blacks and Whites' Carnival.

These are undoubtedly unforgettable experiences that you will discover if you take your vacation in Colombia, showing you what it means to say “I am from the country of beauty.”

Amazonia - Colombian Orinoquia: Sacred rainforests and plains

I also want to invite you to one of the most mysterious regions of dazzling beauty in the country. Home to hundreds of ancestral communities, as well as species of birds, plants, and other animals whose mere sight is a life-changing experience.

The jaguar, the capybara, and the pink river dolphin are examples of this natural wealth that has made Colombia one of the most biodiverse countries in the world.

In addition, here you will experience the kindness that is the hallmark of Colombian culture, firsthand from the indigenous populations that inhabit the area. Places like La Macarena, and its river of seven colors, or Puerto Carreño, facing the Orinoco River, are spaces that, as a Colombian, I want you to discover. I assure you that you will not regret it.

Because of all this, I am proud to tell you that I am from the Country of Beauty and I await you here to take you through our six regions so you can experience with me what it is like to be in a country filled with fascinating spaces, marked by the diversity of its nature and its people.
