Or navigate the Joví river practicing kayaking or artisanal fishing for sabaleta fish using masks and harpoons. You can even tour the Pichindé aquatic path, bathing in the refreshing temperate waters of the love waterfall or the La Roñosa waterfall, towering 30 meters high, bordered by the Pacific coast.

Activities you cannot miss

Take a walk along the beach from Guachalito to the town of Termales, where you will find a beautiful hot spring to take a break in the immensity of the jungle.

Also, immerse yourself in the beaches of Nuquí, like Playa Blanca, where you can snorkel and appreciate a variety of fish and corals. However, you cannot miss other tourist sites such as the Utria National Natural Park, located very close to Playa Blanca, to learn more about the life of whales and their migration, as well as to observe colorful reptiles and monkeys.

Recommendations

  • Wear comfortable, light clothing to accommodate the Colombian Pacific climate, which generally varies during the day. Include not only summer clothes, cap or hat and sunscreen in your suitcase, but also a waterproof jacket in case of rain. Do not forget shoes to walk on the beach and rubber boots to explore the jungle.

  • The sunny seasons are usually between January and April, and the wettest are October and November.

  • Bring cash, because once you arrive at your accommodations you will not have the option of an ATM nearby.

  • If you need to know how to get to Nuquí from Bogotá, you can do it with an airline that has a connection in Quibdó or Medellín. Each journey takes, on average, half an hour.

  • Remember to take a private transportation service that picks you up at the airport and can take you to your accommodations.
