Upon crossing some of the 40 bridges that have been built in Honda and walking slowly along the narrow cobblestone streets such as the Calle de las Trampas evokes the troubled past of this port that, during the Colonial, was joined with Mompox through the Magdalena river. This was one of the main locations for the distribution of goods for the New Kingdom of Granada.
