In Prado, in southern Tolima, travelers can spend hours of fun at the Darío Echandía hydroelectric dam. The name of this 4,200-hectare reservoir pays tribute to a former president of the Republic who was born in the department. The municipality of Prado, located 108 km south of Ibagué, was founded on August 12, 1781, and has become a tourist hub in the region.
