The Magdalena River, the most important in Colombia, flows through the country from south to north for about 1,500 km before emptying into the Caribbean Sea. It can be seen in the south of Huila with a width of no more than 3 meters. To reach this point, where the banks of the Magdalena narrow, it takes half an hour of travel from San Agustín along the road leading to the municipality of Obando.
