After a selection process with more than ten thousand profiles, a cast full of outstanding Colombian actors was chosen to play the fascinating characters imagined by Gabriel García Márquez.
Among those are Claudio Cataño, who plays Colonel Aureliano Buendía; Jerónimo Barón, who will play the role of Aureliano Buendía during his childhood; Marco González, who will play José Arcadio Buendía; and Susana Morales, who will play one of the most iconic characters in Colombian literature: Úrsula Iguarán.
Among this talent there are actors who are starting out in this field and others who have years of experience in acting and international recognition, who are working together to showcase the quality of the Colombian talent, as well as the country´s capacity to develop ambitious and high-budget productions.

In addition, in the production of the series we can also find Colombians such as Laura Mora, who was the director of the series, and who is known for directing renowned audiovisual production projects such as Los reyes del mundo; Natalia Santa and Camila Brugés who, together with other professionals, were in charge of the scripts; Paulo Pérez, in charge of photography; and Catherine Rodríguez, who worked on the costume design.
The producer of this series was Dynamo, a Colombian company founded in 2006, which has established itself as a leader in the industry in the region, developing productions for companies such as Netflix, Amazon and Apple, among others.
Its experience includes the production of such renowned series Narcos, Distrito salvaje, El robo del siglo, Frontera verde and Monos among many others, bringing national talent to big and small screens worldwide
