The construction of the Santo Domingo Church and Convent began in the late 16th century and was completed in five stages. The buttresses protrude into the street after the originals collapsed, and it also has a twisted spire. The Baroque altar features a mid-20th century carved wood image of Christ and an image of the Virgin wearing a crown of gold and emeralds.
