The Rock of El Peñol or Rock of Guatapé is a 220 m high rock that can be climbed via 649 steps to enjoy a panoramic view of the El Peñol reservoir. In the surrounding area, visitors can find several restaurants and accommodation options. The rock is located in the La Piedra area, 2 km before reaching Guatapé.

It is a beautiful place to relax and walk while enjoying nature. It is very well maintained, admission is free, and it is safe for walking. It lacks some signage, but it is a very nice walk. It is very close to the El Cacique Shopping Center. You have to check it out.
