Humpback whales (also known as Yubarta whales) travel over 5500 miles from the Antarctic each year, arriving to the Colombian Pacific coast between July and November. During that time, visitors can admire their fins, tails, and maybe even catch a glimpse of their 60-foot-long bodies in places like El Almejal beach in Bahia Solano; and in front of Guachalito in Nuquí.
